Kaapzicht
Kaapzicht is situated up in the Bottelary Hills with magnificent views towards Table Mountain. The farm was first mentioned in 1712 and was purchased by the Steytler family in 1946. The 174 ha estate has 135 ha of vineyards planted on mainly north facing slopes. An ambitious planting programme is seeing the replacement of the Chenin vineyards with top quality red varieties while the old gnarled Pinotage Bush Vines are given tender care and attention. Danie Steytler is considered one of the top two producers of Pinotage in South Africa and so the world.
