Ruinart
The oldest sparkling wine producer in Champagne, Ruinart was founded in 1729
based in Reims. It possesses some of the most fantastic cellars in the area,
cavernous chalk cathedrals, some of which date back to Gallo-Roman times. It
is fairly low profile for a Champagne House but is renowned for the
excellent quality of its champagnes, which are made in quite a rich style,
with very little Pinot Meunier in the blends. Like Krug it is part of the
LVMH Group. |
