Beaune
The village of Beaune retains a medieval appearance and atmosphere and is full of monuments to its rich past. The spectacular Collégiale Notre Dame which dates from the 12th Century, the Hôtel Dieu centre of the Hospices de Beaune and the impressive mansion which was home to Dukes of Burgundy in 15th and 16th Centuries and is now the Musée du Vin, are just some of Beaune's historic features.

On the third Sunday in November tourists, buyers, growers and négociants descend upon this sleepy market town and turn it into a commercial hive of activity as it marks the weekend of Les Trois Gloriuses with the Hospices de Beaune charity auction.
