Côte-De-Nuits-Villages
These are mainly red wines from smaller villages around the Côte including those to the north, Fixin and Brochon and those to the south, Comblanchien, Corgoloin and Prissey. The wines from the north of the appellation tend to be fruity and fuller-bodied than those from the south that have a degree more sophistication. In general they will both be medium to full bodied. Côte -De Nuits-Villages is not as well known as its equivalent appellation further south, Côte-De-Beaune-Villages, but the wines produced are excellent value and often as good, if not better than some of the village wines produced by local growers.
